Peter has been giving various areas in which we submit to God by submitting to God’s leaders that He has put over us. Having discussed submitting to government and masters, he now turns to marriage. In this, he specifically looks at the situation of a Christian woman married to an unbeliever.  Peter says, “wives, seek your husband’s salvation by seeking to be beautiful.”
